Key Functions & Network Plans 
The Health Protection Network will have the following key functions in supporting the development of good practice in the prevention and control of both infections and environmental hazards in Scotland:
- Collating and disseminating evidence of best practice
- Setting standards related to this evidence
- Supporting peer audit of these standards
- Supporting continuous professional development in health protection
