Working Groups

The Health Protection Network Steering Group recommends that the structure for a national network should be based on current and future topic-based subgroups or Working Groups involving a wide range of disciplines.

These Groups should be asked by the Steering group to develop guidance on good practice as it relates to specific areas of health protection, following template and evidence-based principles previously outlined by the Steering Group.

In this work, they will be supported (e.g. appraisal of the evidence, setting standards) by HPS staff with expertise in the topic being considered and standard setting.
