Health Protection Scotland has a role in providing support and advice in
managing outbreaks and incidents across Scotland in collaboration with NHS
boards, Local Authorities and other agencies.
This section of the website provides:

Information on accessing selective guidance documents
for managing incidents and outbreaks through the Scottish Health Protection
Information Resource (SHPIR). SHPIR was developed in response to the need to
provide an electronic bibliography of key documents to support HPS and NHS
board health protection staff "on-call" out of hours.

Information on incidents and outbreaks as reported through a number of information
sources. Please note that this is a selective listing. We would
welcome any additional suggestions of sources to enhance this area of the
website.
