Radiation

While we don't have a remit for providing advice on radiation issues and public health in Scotland, Public Health England (PHE) is the national agency for dealing with the health effects of radiation within the UK.

Radiation issues include:

  • radon gas
  • mobile phones
  • base stations
  • electricity pylons
  • electricity sub-stations
  • radioactive particles, sources and emissions

Contact information

PHE has an office in Glasgow for dealing with radiation issues and can be contacted on 0141 440 2201.
