Publication Date: 09 March 2020

Food Standards Scotland (FSS) has published new research on Campylobacter - the most common cause of bacterial food poisoning in Scotland - which provides important new evidence on those at greater risk of infection, factors influencing severity of illness as well as the estimated healthcare cost of infection for the years 2013-2017.

The research was undertaken by Health Protection Scotland on behalf of FSS and is now published on their website.
